    How can one request their username to be changed? As I don't want to register a new account instead.

    After 365 days you can... If someone gives up a username, it can't be reused until 365 days later (to prevent people from appearing to be someone different).

    @Shawn, this question keeps popping up more and more about name changes, would it be an ideal specifically, to place a link on our profiles about name changes, adding a specific link to My Settings / My Profile section might encourage more business, I know you mentioned before its a tedious job, however it might turn out very profitable, considering only a few actually ask this question and those that don't, well they just carry on not knowing.

    With your skills, you could possible automate a paying system, allowing 1 credit for a name change request within 24-48 hours or even through cron job, a system like that wouldn't or doesn't necessarily have to do with Premium membership, $15 might be a good starting price.

    If you believe that...:) It looks like you didn't see my post "User Accounts" because that guy has more than 1 user account. He's not very creative but good enough to fool most mods here.;)
