Hello, i have a website called http://siteslikedealextreme.com, and i am having a hard time promoting it on google for the term "sites like dealextreme". it is now in 6th position in the US, but stuck for over a month there... i wrote an article on squidoo: http://www.squidoo.com/sites-like-dealextreme-reviews but that did'nt help either ... any suggestions ?!
thanks.. i know i have to do that but i just thought it would be easier ... BTW how do i know if the affiliates on my site are actually paying me for each sale ?
Keep posting on forums like this one with dofollow links and then add a hyperlink to your signiture(once your over the limit). Do this on about 10 good forums a week and it should help
keep it up, its not going to happen over night or in your case over a month, but don't just wait, keep building links and build links to your links like get backlinks to the squidoo lens
ok thank you, i will try that ... are there any good sites like squidoo that posting is easy and no hassle ?
This page list several other sites similar to squidoo where you can upload your own content. http://www.topwebsitetips.com/web2sites.aspx
This is the best you can do.Just write articles and submit it on web 2.0 pages and article directories and yes... a lot of work
thanks dude i was surfing this thread and very useful resource at ur end heads of 2 u @ adacprogramming like topwebsitetipsfind
Building good backlinks is a great idea. Try to mix it up a little though. Do not just rely on squidoo for your articles and backlinking. Try other directories too. Ezinearticles.com is one of the high authority sites on the web right now that you can submit your articles to. Being in the internet business is never easy. You have to endure any challenge that gets in the way.
I quickly checked how many people search for that term and it's less than 1000 per month. Even if you achieved #1, is that enough traffic to make you happy? If so, that's great and keep working on the linkbuilding as others have mentioned (including adding it to your signature here). If not, you may want to revisit the keyword research. Good luck!
thank you all for your help and indeed at the site's current conversion rates, #1 is not nearly enough to make me happy ... i will try posting on other sites... I would also like to ask you guys what does "guest blogging" mean... also, would you recommend using article spinners ?
If you can get some .edu or .gov backlinks than it would be better for your ranking and you can easily get on #1.
yes, try on hubpages also but try to keep in mind that this hubpages submit only quality and unique content. Try to get some more quality links from other sites. And SEO is time taking process you have to keep some patience. all the best
thank you guys i will try that... by the way, the link to my article: sites like dealextreme reviews, what do think of it ? i don't know much about keyword density and all that ... is it good ?
