    Use CSS to load a small image and then repeat it as a background to reduce load time and reduce size
    Get a fast dedicated server with lots of RAM and raw CPU speed also the connection counts look for a 100/1000MBS
    Closing mysql connections after you have used them (if your website uses MYSQL of course)
