    1.Make sure you have great content... so focus first on posting quality stuff worth reading before you start trying to get people to read it. 2.Submit your site to various free blog directories. 2.Comment on Other Blogs 3.Give out the Link Love(Acknowledge other bloggers by linking to their blog.) 4.Join a Blog Network like Entrecard (they can also send you traffic as well). And the last one Encourage comments on your blog by installing the top commenter widget on your blog, I haven't done that yet!

    Backlinks will definitely draw more visitors, but it is mostly the quality of your content. If you content isn't what your visitor is looking for, then they will move on.
