Is it true that some wp themes are better for seo that other wp themes? If so, what do you think is the best?
Yes, to me. Because SEO optimzed themes have "nofollow" to tags, comment links, archives, continue reading links, etc. Those links should be nofollowed because those will land to a same content. You can prevent that with robots.txt or some plugins, but in seo optimized themes, those links are already featured. The best seo themes, are Thesis, and Genesis, to me I am sure everyone has different opinions.
There are two type of Wp theme like free and premium. For Free Word press theme "Dyna Blue" "Mystique" and many more i am using these. and for Premium theme as @KimiGermany said thesis and Genesis, Theme Forest ,elegant and Many more. Waiting for others reply....
lots of there but my personal experience on dyna blue and mystique all in one seo works on them If u are looking for SEO SERVICES .
Personally, I use mainly free themes and have found two FREE themes that are very SEO-powerful. I've also used StudioPress themes and though they are good for SEO, the customer service is generally rude and careless. Ultimately start by using Greg's All-in-One SEO and learn link mazing. I'll soon have a report out on how I helped make an adult film review site number one on Google and it goes far beoynd themes.
The best SEO theme out there can be found used at geekforhim.com. Standard Theme is awesome for SEO, so much that I stopped using All in One SEO plugin.
simplebalance is a free theme for wordpress which is highly seo friendly. http://blogsessive.com/blogging-tools/simple-balance-free-simple-wordpress-theme/ h1 h2 tags are there properly coded. yet you would like to use all in one seo pack with it.
I have used many, many WordPress themes over the years and if you install some basic plugins which I describe here: 22 Best Must Have WordPress Plugins then I think you will find the SEO differences between any of the plugins negligible at best. What you should look out for is that the theme loads relatively quickly since Google does not like slow load times. The database cache plugin will help you with this. Nowadays, Google's algorithms rely heavily on metrics that it gathers about users as they visit your site so content is most important and the more the user lingers the better. So plugins that showcase posts and encourage users to click to other posts in your blog help a lot. So my advice is to choose a theme that is easy on the eyes and representative of the image that you wish to project and not worry too much about the minor difference between sites. My blog (in my signature) is loaded with follow, outbound links (to authority sites and also low ranking sites) and it does not appear to affect my ranking at all. What does affect my ranking is how well I do with traffic that comes to my site. Hope this helps.
Well as such there is no best SEO theme, you need to make sure that themes do not use havascript for menus or links. Other than that you can choose SEO plugins to do seo optimization for your worpdress site.
There are Certain SEO Optimized themes like Thesis, Arthemia and many others! I prefer Thesis for best SEO Optimization.....
No. It's true that some themes have SEO features coded into the settings for you to configure, and some have certain SEO settings as a default. But, you can install any SEO plug ins that you want into any Wordpress theme that you want. And most are free. Or you can code any SEO functions that you want. I wouldn't buy a theme just because it is advertised as SEO friendly. That's just a marketing ploy. That's like buying a car because it has seat covers. You can get seat covers for any car, anywhere. If you don't know anything about SEO, buying an"SEO" theme still won't help you because you will still set it up wrong. If you do know at least the basics of SEO, you don't need a theme that say's it. Buy a theme because you like the layout and it has the functions that you need. You can SEO anything.
I use the Talian wordpress theme. It's not free but you will get free upgades as new versions created. Now on v5, I've been using it since v3.
