I would like to know if the blogroll links are better than the ordinary home page or inner page links. How Google treats them? Thanks
I'm NOT an expert, but I would say blogroll links are better because they show up on every page on the blog, as opposed to home page or inner page links that only show up on those pages. With a blogroll link, anyone who visits any page on the site sees the link, as would search engine spiders.
The blogroll is the list of links in the sidebar of a Wordpress blog. When you first install Wordpress, the blogroll has a bunch of Wordpress self-serving links, but you can easily delete these and add the links you want to appear on every page of your blog.
Thanks for the comments. It is not clear for me how Google treats blogroll and sitewide links, how Google counts the links, all of them, or one per domain.
Blogroll has less effect in SEO. Its like a forum link, sitewide and passes very very less link value. Blogroll's are suppossed to be nofollow according to Google, so if Google's algorithm is smart enough to identify blogroll links from other links i can say that Blogrolls may provide NO link juice at all.
Blogroll link is much better than home page link or link page link. If the the site is relevent definitely, you would get A++ for your site.
If the blog is 'Do follow' then it is far better. Blog roll gives you not a single link, but as many page of post, that is has!!
