ANy one use sphinx for DB search ??

can some one explain how does it work ? benefit and bla ?

Sphinx indexes necessary data given by the query & other specifications.
Benefit is very fast retrieval.

Using it to search news site articles. No complaints at all. Give it a try.
Please note if your dataset becomes large importance of delta indexes grows.

 

As a none coder, still don't really understand how to install with few reading hour

generally speaking you need to configure data source and indexing itself. It relies on data schema and what you want to index. So if you publish you schema here with desired search behaviour it would be possible to assist you with config.

 

Sphinx has not been designed as a tool for non-coders. You are likely not to be able to install or use it, even with exact guidelines. You will require specialists in doing this and as far as I know there are very few who can do this.

i do found some one install sphinx for me and with MMUA help on sphinx wp plugin, i think i able to make it work

Actually there is no rocket science, but it is essentially programmer's tool.
