I'm making a template downloads site but I can't seem to find a good theme that will go with the website. Can anybody suggest some good themes for a templates site?

Here are some examples of "good templates".

    hxxp://www.bloggerstyles.com/
    hxxp://www.allblogtools.com/
    hxxp://btemplates.com/

I basically want something that can arrange posts as a list with screenshots.
If anybody knows any plugins that can do that, it will be helpful as well.

It all depends on individual. There One Columned, Two-Columned and so on so forth.
You must first decide the template layout. Then you search for Wordpress Templates.
It'd be much easier that way.

Having an original theme for your site will make you look original - not just a copycat of the tons of other theme download sites out there.

Browse the examples given and other template sites to find ideas for the look you want. Maybe you like the menu style from one site, the layout from another and the typography from a third. Put them all together, add your own flair and colors and come up with a site that is uniquely you (in photoshop) - then code out (or have coded out) the basic theme files.

For your template viewing page you may be able to use/modify a gallery plugin and have the thumbnails link either to the download file or to the individual page of the template or to a demo.

Another way is to enter each theme as a blog post and then your category page will be the list of all the themes with images and exerpts.
