I find that posting relevant comments in dofollow blogs and in forums works well and including your keywords! It gets you the quality backlinks you need and also drives more traffic to your website! When you join a forum make sure you can add a signature, so you can add in your keywords and link them back to your website! Also submitting to directories is a good way too!

to find do-follow tags, use firefox extension, search status and select for "highlight no-follow". if the link is not highlighted then it's do-follow. if it's highlighted then it's no-follow
