    when windows 7 was in development they bragged it would have the fastest start up (they said it was almost instant). When it did come out i tried a computer with it on and it had a slower start up then vista! Me personally though, i'm still trying to get used to vista. Though if my laptop had drivers built for it on xp then i'd still be on that

    yes windows 7.it more then better from vista i dont think so its possible to use win7 with 512 ram its getting slower.but you can try by turning of some graphical effects.

    I like Windows 7 and it can run on that amount of RAM. Windows Vista was a major burp in Microsoft's arsenal. Get rid of Vista. XP is the second best stable software in the market, so use that if you like. Windows 7 has been great, thus far.

    Both are best As per my opinion Microsoft might have released Vista when the world is not ready. But Windows Vista changed all that. Despite many years of availability, Vista's poor reception means that computer manufacturers are still selling new systems with XP.

    I'm pretty happy with using Windows 7. Vista, especially the Stater Edition, sucks. My laptop had tons of viruses before and Vista couldn't get rid of them.

    Windows 7 is too much good, it's absolutely fantastic browsing-wise ... I have 1GB of RAM which is I think, is not enough .. :)
