How worth a signature link is? how much weight SEs given to forum links? Or it depends on SEs? Is it work to buy text links in forums (side bars) / signature links?
it should be having importance in SEO because many people buy signature links on DP. but some forums have nofollow tag with signature which are not so useful.
I read somewhere out there that even with the nofollow tag signatures worth. If Search Engines are unable to follow your link, they will list your name as part of the indexed text. That is the reason why many people choose as username the name of their sites
Sigs do have some SEO value, but are still more useful for the traffic that they can attract. If oneof the referrals converts, it could be worth its wieght in gold for it can be greater than the initial investment you put in. In forums like DP which are very active, the indexing factor comes into play.
