Hi All, I was contemplating over how to market my website using yahoo groups. If you go to the YahooGroups page, you can search the topic of your interest and when you go the the groups page, you can find the mailing list email address. Now sending mail to that group ID as per my intution is SPAMMING People's mailbox. Well first I thought its only 1 mail that I'll shoot to all the groups so as to just spread the word, but then I am still not sure. Please advice. Regards Vaibhav

Why contemplate to ruin your reputation in spam trying to do something you know will not work in the long run?
I don't know if you can still do it, but if you find out a group owners email address, you can spoof it and send out emails bypassing their moderation.
I think if you want to send them mails in future also then you should enter the subject line very carefully. This may create some curiosity to read your mail, people just look at the subject and if it is not of their interest they just report it to spam.
