Im looking for some good email list building strategies. anybody can suggest some good techniques? im going to be releasing a music album with music videos, but id like to build up a list prior so i have something to work with. Ive thought of networking on myspace and facebook and getting interested people to opt in.
Give away a free report about music and then get an email for that report. Then follow up with that email with more info and lead into your offers.
Are there forums where you can meet those who might be interested in your product(s)? Your signature can work wonders - as it does for me
Yah i think i might make a splash page and direct them to that, offer somethinig free for signing up. the key is getting them to the splash page in the first place. i guess ill do lots of interacting on forums and social networks and such to sow some interest. anybody know any good cheap or free programs for collecting peoples emails on a splash page?
That's the basics. The problem is usually how to get people to sign up. The easiest and most powerful way is by using popups (like popup domination), but it's also the most annoying to most people.
oh really pop ups.. how do you use those? cant you just give them a link to a squeeze page and have them input their email there. also anybody ever heard of EasyWebAutomation.com? its highly praised in the book i was reading guerilla marketing on the internet. i think they automate everything from shopping carts to email lists.
You can use squeeze pages, but a pop up is a lot more effective, and that's because it "pops up right in your face" it's not possible to not see it (you have to be active and click to make it go away). Again, I don't currently use popups, because I find them too annoying, but they work better than anything I have ever tried when it comes to getting new subscribers
I sooo dislike pop ups - but they do work. I've signed up for one "free" report after the next because the pop-up was in my face and a "solution to my immediate need. If you are just starting out - get yourself a great piece of PLR and rewrite it. Use a few pages of the PLR as your "free" report and give it away in exchange for your visitors email address. Solve a problem. Plain and simple. Do your research and find out what your customers needs are and then fulfill it.
Any forum can get people to a squeeze page but choose a forum where people mix who are interested in your products. Don't sell Forex products to those interested in boating!
How exactly would you go about creating a pop up page...Give people a link to a squeeze page then when they get there a pop up comes up or something?
