    Hello

Whats the best way to build trust between a consumer and a business website ?

I mean ebay can be annoying sometimes with fees and not wanting to do everything their way.

    Please share your wisdom.

    Thank You

    Sharaaz:)

Trust seals, great customer service, money back guarantees......all of these will help begin to build a relationship between you and your clients.

    Regards

Sell your stuff on Amazon and write a nice, quick note with each shipment. Then post all the great reviews on your ecommerce site.

That's what I did and it worked.

A valid phone number (clearly displayed) goes a great deal in establishing trust. But also don't forget about other important aspects (a user friendly web design, policies/terms/refunds/faqs, secure payments, ssl, company & company details...etc).

I believe you can acquire the Verisign Trust Seal through authorize resellers and get it cheaper through them than directly going through Verisign. Just check with Verisign though that the reseller is authorize to sell Verisign Trust Seal. You can integrate Live Chat into your site, so customers can readily contact you if they have any questions or other inquiries they may want to ask you in regards to your business or products. SSL secured site is another big factor that someone else pointed out. Customers want to feel safe when they're shopping on a new website. If you're previously sold items on ebay ask customer for their permission to use their testimonial on your website outside of ebay. You can also link items your selling on ebay as well to your website. That's all I recommendations I can think of off top of my head, I'm sure others will more recommendations for you. Best of luck.

With proper usage of social media tools, you can easily build up trust too. Good word of mouth is basically free advertising and as long as you provide quality services and products, customers will come. I dont really think having verisign is needed as there are so many e-commerce sites without it but still as successful. It may be a good start though.

Good information about posting your amazon reviews on your webstore. I think I'll give that a try.

I think the most important thing is building trust between u and the buyers with good customer service, same items as described.reasonable shipping and payment policy.you will have a good idea to guarantee the 100% customer safisfaction.of course, if you can get a great customer reviews to show, the more sales will.

Money back guarantee, trust seals and the most important part is how you communicate with your customers. They have to be treated professionally and carefully, so you can inject the feeling of trust and liability.

Try setting up reviews on a third party web site. There are several third party sites that will collect, host and display your reviews. Customers consider reviews on your own web site less reliable then reviews posted on a third party that you do not control. I use Ratepoint for collecting my customer reviews.

At the beginning of your business, you need do something to attract visitors to your product site. For example, promote your site by backlink or signature in social forums, reduce your products' price, describe your products in details. Then, some visitors would buy your products, at that time, you should provide good service, trust sales and great help to your customers. In my opinion, if you can do all of this, you'll benefit from it after a time period.
