You should put your main 3 to 4 keywords in your Title tag....But make sure it is not more then 80 character beceause google consider only first 80 character in title tag.

Google will not consider Keywords Tag at all, as to reduce spam and from spammers. I feel limit it to minimum that describes that content or about the website.

The less keywords you have is better as you are targeting page for specific topic.

Less than 80 characters. Google only shows up to 67 characters in its search results page. But going up to 80 characters is not considered spammy.

Google counts upto 65 characters. going out of this, means 5-10 more characters after 65 will not be in spam.

You can targeted 3 to 4 Keywords on page title but if you targeted long tail keywords then targeted 2-3. Title tag length 65-70 characters.

Don't put more than 3 to 4 Keywords in there. You should put 60 to 80 characters there. Because Google bot don't read beyond that in title tag, rather don't consider.

I'm second that. I would say one keyword title per page is the best for onpage seo.

Yes, in general, 3-4 keywords are good to go with and title should be limited to 66 characters in length.

Really there's not any limitation for it. But it a should not be long too. Usually its under 60 characters in most cases. I suggest you to write the needed title for each pages of your website without attention to the SEO and ranking the pages on search engines. In this case i am sure you will get the best results. I mean write Natural title for your pages.

As i know Google count and accept only 68 characters in title. You can use keywords to cover these characters but do not repeat any keyword.

Just know that less keywords will be better for quality in the long run in my experience anyways.

I think the OP meant how many keywords should you put in the title tag <title></title>, as opposed to the Keywords meta tag <meta name="keywords" content="keywords, etc etc" />.

Google does not read your title and say, "This is a keyword ... this is not a keyword ... this is ... this is ... this is not ...", etc. They could not care less whether you intend each word to be a keyword or not; to them it's just a word.

As one poster wrote above, write your titles to read naturally. I recommend keeping the length to 65 characters or less, or else you will be trunctated with a ... at the end of the title in the search results.

I normally uses on average 60 keywords for the title tag. The format in my case is title|Call to Action @ Brand name
Call to Action normally contains some promotional /interesting facilities. Use it , it's quite effective for me.
