They do not expect you to do anything. All they care about is adding high quality pages and sites into their index. If you do not give them unique content your newly duplicated page will be skipped over or added in the "omitted results" and so on.

Google expects new and unique articles for duplicate and copyright issues. If you have new articles and contents Google will determine that you are updating your site.

Google doesn't expect you to add unique content on your blog although they would prefer unique content more rather than generic, copied and duplicated content used from so many blogs.

Google couldn't care less if you add unique or duplicate content, however they will serve up the version which they expect to be the original version of something, i.e. the first one they found. There would be no point displaying the same article for the top 10 or more results of a search, if they did this people would just start using other engines more often.

Several copies of the same content in a search engine does not really do any good and so Google apparently decided to weed out some of this duplicate content to be able to deliver cleaner and better search results.

This is not expectation... Google doesn't expect you to add unique content on your sites or blogs. Google gives more preference to unique and fresh content and consider duplicate content as spamming.

You should give google what they want ( meaning fresh and copyscape content ) otherwise your blog will be tagged as autoblog and you don`t want that to happen ^^

Google looks for fresh unique content on the site. Google doesn't like duplicate content to be posted anywhere.

Ask yourself as a webmaster/website owner: "Why would I want to just recycle information that is already out there on the internet? What's the personal challenge in that? What benefit is my site adding to the worldwide web, unless I am bringing some new, relevant content to it?" I personally write every page on my website, and each one is unique, not copied or even paraphrased.

Else otherwise your site will be lost under your competitors (having same type of contents as you have) sites and you will likely to blame Google about not showing up your site blah blah

Google DOES expect you to use only unique content. And pretty soon, it will have to be unique content without using the letter 'e'. The power of the mighty Google must not be underestimated.
