It seem like the serps have not been changed as frequently as before, has anyone else noticed this? Feels like day between rather more frequently?

Probably related to the October 20th problem they had with indexing. Some sites still impacted I believe.

Not sure about recently, but Bing was always quicker to update for me. Usually within a few days of a change, while Google was weeks.

I have seen some backward update, a so called "reversed" update. It happens to many search term and sometime even roll back to very old search results for high competitive keywords. I suspect something is going on with how they calculate, evaluate and handle links.

It might be related to the huge change in how local results are displayed and integrated with the 7-pack.

I think that google is just busy on how to maintain its position and protect the company from its competitors. All the maintainance work has been slowed and this may even result in some more days of problem to the site owners for their SERP.

i have been losing the SERPs like nobody's business friends, i've stopped building backlinks. I didn't know this will happen so fast... Is there any way to retain the SERPS ranking without building backlinks ?

I have no idea to be completely honest with you. Google never seems to do things consistantly any way so we can only hope what we are doing is right!

I see global changes for google webmaster tools. PR changes are also being updated constantly. It seems that google went crazy! As for SERP results, I see no changes for my sites.

I have not noticed much recently but the SERP are always updating several times a day so fluctuations are expected every now and then..
