    hm you should try some flash music player instead of embedding the mp3 directly

    <embed name="lostmojo"
    src="/web_design/lostmojo.wav"
    loop="false"
    hidden="true"
    autostart="true">
    </embed>

    The above can simply add the desired music to your site. But to add the STOP music option, you will need flash player usage... :)

    The first thing most people do when they visit a site that starts playing music is quit the site and never return.

    Looked at your website and it seems you did it right. When adding music to webpages that auto-starts -- you just don't wanna make it too intrusive on the user's web experience. And make a sound toggle. But basically, a soft rising volume intro - to soft music is about only acceptable in my book. You had very soft music, and it fit the page well. I like it.

    Wouldn't the music stop if you changed pages?
    Maybe you should try an AJAX based site.

    Your music is not too intrusive, but I would still recommend a Music Stop button
