I agree with you mate. An interesting topic gets along with the ride of your traffic and sometimes those visitors often come back for more to read more about your site since its interesting. You must also consider how fast your site load when someone trying to visit it. One thing you must do is to avoid big images and high volumes of files like videos.

 

What is you budget for this?

 

I'd say SEO or PPC. You will probably need money for both of these

 

the best way is to run a long term strategies that runs over time, unless you want fake visitors sent from robots, otherwise start using all the tactics we already know and always check you analytics to know which one is working better so that once you have good data you can do more of what is working. The things to do are: Articles, Video's, Blog posts, Forum posts, Social bookmarking, Social media, Yahoo answers, Mini blogs like Squidoo, Podcasts, Backlinks, On page SEO... this should start you quite well, then as I said from your analytics you can see what's working better and more of it..

To get 2K visitors per day its "hard". You should work , work and work to get 2K visitors !

 

Just spam your website everywhere.

 

Use a multitude of Traffic Strategies, but for long term results, focus more solidly on either link building or paid traffic sources.

 

Google news can do it easily, the thing is you must be approved by Google news. I know a guy who could help.

 

Another way is too use mobile ppc ads, like admob.com. It is really cheap and can get where you want

 

Just remembered another method but it is Black hat - using xrummer, it costs about $600 but it worth it

 

I like forum posting, but you would have to do it a lot to get 2,000 a day.

 

if your site is shop site, PPC is effective way to get more visitors.

I used to write on ehow or demand studios and in forums to get people in the category I was trying to market to go to the site as an authority so for example

an audio visual company that specializes in event videography should market in a wedding forum, birthday party forum, places where people are looking to advice on doing a wedding.

once I established my rankings there I would constantly go back and keep writing tips ideas tutorials etc to get more attention and got plenty of traffic to my site

now im onto a new business venture thewetfox.com a new venture in an adult market ought to be fun and a new challenge...

 

PayPer click is effective too but out of reach for many just starting a business online and doesn't have a massive budget or even a shoestring budget I started out when I was 17 like 5 years ago and had no job but kept blogging and got ranks quickly to build up a ppc budget...
