What's your bounce rate ?

My new websites only seem to have 70~80% bounce rate.
I was wondering what the average bounce rate is ?? And what's yours ?

 

My new site, UGLYSOB.com, started around 88%. Over the past month, I've gotten it to 53%.

Question: what percentage of your links are external vs internal?

 

70%~80% consider high bounce rate. The average bounce rate is about 50%

 

bounce is the % of single page visits or visits by user and left your site with in some time

 

Anything above 60% is decent.

If you're using a landing page with a high converting sales letter then you should have anywhere between 60% - 80%.

In the end all that matters apart from profit is to send people to the vendor's offer and get as many eye balls on it.

Start building a list and you'll see the numbers slowly climbing.

Started using more targeted key words in my advertising.

 

60 - 65% for my site. Its been dropping from 80%!

 

Mine is about 40% for my sites.

 

mine is about 30-35 %

 

Mine is about ~~50%.

 

I have found the bounce rate definitely depends on the content. For example, I have an image site that has a bounce rate of 95%, and a video site that has a bounce rate of 20%.

I know this is ridiculous to ask. What is bounce rate btw? Please tell me and how can I get them?

Another tactic to drop your bounce rate is to increase the average page views.

 

Bounce rate on my site is 58%, which is rather high. Decent bounce rate is between 20% to 30%.
