Question about social bookmarking

Discussion in 'Link Development' started by IT-STORE, Nov 2, 2010.

  1. #1
I have recently added many pages, and all the pages were indexed already, so I don't need to use social bookmarking to get the pages indexed.

I have lots of traffic, and don't need traffic from social bookmarking.

I am not worried about PR, so don't need social bookmarking for that.

I am looking for SERPs, would social bookmarking help me there?

    Cheers people.

It will help, but you must combine it with other link building methods.

Yes, of course. Social bookmarking is a good way of helping your site to be indexed in search engine and to rank your keyword.

To be honest social bookmarking is just a secondary SEO instrument.

If you do not need it for PR, or traffic, you don't need it at all.

If you have high PR and good traffic but you are not on SERPs so it mean you have a problem:
    1. it can be on your on-page optimization
    2. you have great competition

    Find it

I'm not an expert but would say a few social bookmarking links thrown into the mix create a more natural link building profile than just articles or link exchanges alone??

Social bookmarking alone can do nothing.
Get links, drop links and link bait and gain links from anywhere and everywhere, dont worry about, do follow, no follow or hard url, this creates a link diversity which is also a counting factor when it comes to rankings in SERPs

as far as social bookmarking is concerned so i believe you concepts are not clear in this regard.

Besides, you have lot of traffic, do not need PR also so why are you bothered about the SERPs?

Yes Social Bookmarking can help you for SERPs. Bookmark links using the keyword you want to target. As well as do other offpage activities also for SERP's

I do not need PR because it is not very important for me. I am not interested in traffic from bookmarking sites because that traffic is short term. I am looking for long term traffic (google), so I am focused on SERPS. I do have a lot of traffic, but more is always better. :)

Yes I agree. And your website should also be ethically optimized with your targeted keywords to rank well in search engine results.

Well, telling frankly, Social Bookmarking won't do anything in getting good SERP.

When the competition is high and you are on first page of Google then neither "social bookmarking" nor "directory submission" would do anything to give you the first position.

In this case there is only one way is relevant links should be taken slowly and steady. Try to get good quality relevant links having high domain age and high pr as well. Also keep taking other types of links to be shown natural in eyes of Google, these links may also include no-follow as well.
