Where to get photos for professional sports?

If I had a blog around sports, let's say hockey (NHL), where can I get photos to use for the blog (re: players, etc)? Can I use Associated Press? Does anyone have something like this? I don't mind giving the byline credits and such, but don't want pay much if anything! :)

Well, you can look for photos from Flickr and then contact the owner of the image and ask for permission to use his/her photos. That's as simple as that, I guess.

Yeah, but if you have a client that asks for license for that images, what you then do ?
It's really tricky question for rights on internet

Well, if you do, there is a good chance that you are going to get the same images used for another company. That's not exactly good

but you have to be sure to ask the owner first... giving credit is not enough. You should have something written and you should make sure that you don't violate any terms of use the owner should have.

You can easily get it from any stock photos site like istockphotos or shutterstocks, although you have to pay for it there
