My $700 Month!

Last month, October, I made $706.46. That is my highest month so far since I started using Adsense back in July of 2008. It has been steadily increasing month after month.

I made that amount from 3 ads that I strategically placed on my blog (Homes of the Rich).

- 1 ad in the header, 1 ad in the center of the page and 1 ad after every blog post

During that month I managed to get 288,382 page impressions and 951 clicks. That averages to around 74 cents per click, which I think is pretty good.

I think I picked a pretty unique niche to get into and I'm happy that it payed off. Now I can only hope to get that amount of page views every day! That means I would make over $21,000 a month if I kept making around the same amount per click!

I can only dream -__-

700 in 951 clicks is impressive for sure. such a high average pay is really nice. can you share the site link so I can also have a look at it?

$700/month from 1 blog is pretty good i think. $21000/month isnt only a dream if u can manage $700/blog from many blogs.

Yeah. I use Kontera and Infolinks as well. Those make me about $100 a month combined. Plus I make money from direct advertising.

 

74cents/click is a really nice amount

 

Well, why don't you launch a new blog now? If you can get another blog to make half of what you make with this one, that's already 1050$ a month.

Also, don't stop on contextual and direct ads - try to get some kind of product or membership program to sell. I guess it's hard to create something like that for your specific niche, but you look like a creative person, you can certainly come up with something.

Well, I do sell a Homes of the Rich "Ebook". It's basically a slideshow of tons of mansions along with some information on them. I have an Affiliate Program set up for that as well.

i would like to know how many niche sites it took you before you hit a profitable one?
im currently on my 3rd niche site and this is my best yet only earning $10 a month at the most

Everyone should take note that your site has been running for nearly 2.5 years and is very well done.

Well, I basically post, post and POST! That way I get more repeat visitors and more of a chance of getting one of my ads clicked. I also use Facebook and Twitter a lot to promote my blog. Like I said, I think the position of the ads on my blog has really made an impact on my earnings. Before, my ads were in a bad position and so I was only making around $10 a day. Now I make over $20 a day. So just check out my blog to see where my ads are placed and try to do that on your blog as well.

Also, this is the first blog that I ever made and I'm so happy it turned out to be profitable. I did start another niche blog, but I didn't have enough time to update it and didn't gain that much momentum.
