.co domain names have been sold and they are told to be as popular as .com ones. What do you think about this?

All new extensions are usually claimed as sold and popular after launching, but overtime no extension can beat dot COM.

.co is cool and a good option.

    All the .coms are gone.

What would you choose if you had option from these - YourCompanyName.net YourCompanyName.org YourCompanyName.co YCN.co

JobsInMyArea.co comes up on the front page (Google.com) for "jobs in my area" sometimes.

Unless is extremely important, I would stay away from the .co domains. Most users would get confused between the .com and .co and mistake the url if they haven't bookmarked your site.

Google recognize .CO domains just like .Com in their search engine.
For me, .co will be in high value after 5 years because many big company have start using .CO extension.

Problem is that everytime a new extension comes up, such future popularity is procrastinated, and future comes and goes without having any of those extension beating the popularity of dot COMs.
