Someone Hacked my Website's Wordpress Account

Fortunately on my part, the hacker simply warned me, but as I'm new to making web sites, I'm not sure how to secure my web site against future attacks. Anyone mind pointing me in the right direction of what to do to fix this and prevent this from happening again?

dr.a7sass is the hacker's signature name I believe..

Situation: He only had access to my wordpress account, not my server's control panel.
I did get my log in information and change back my password. Even though somehow he edited the admin username to khaled even though you technically can't on wordpress...
I believe he must've been able to do this while I was on an unsecured network.

Okay, just used Wordpress Exploit Scanner, and deleted a lot of coding the hacker messed up. I just reuploaded thesis and it appears to be alright now.

Like many others said, Update your Wordpress to the latest version. I think 75% of the time its due to the old version of wordpress, so yea always keep the latest version.
