Google Places search Results Interface changed ! Will this mean Google now focusing more on Local Results?

To get a good placement in Google Places, try to fill all the requirements of the site, select all and has the main keyword of your business in the ad title.
It is also important to have the address of your company on every page of your site and that the data are the same, to assist in positioning.
Guide pages is also very good position to help.

I would agree with above , I put my address in the Footer , doesn't even have to be your address ( just has to be valid)

Yes, I noticed that Google Places for some local searches has occupied more than half the page!

    Google "Portland Home Builder"

Unfortunately, this means SEOs must now focus more of their attention on GP for their customers. Which is awful, because the service is so random.

i genuinely though it was perfect before, but...
they think you have to keep changing thing to be 'fresh'
and they just make it worse

i am afraid that is not the full picture, local seo is much more then just putting your physical address on your site,s footer or just getting your place verified

We noticed less call volume since we are not in local listing but on top of natural listing.

I hope this is temporary experiment.
