Help! my whole server been hacked.

Can you help me.



Every single site on this server has been hit like this.
random number for title and then random description.

Any help

 

I had one of my servers hacked last month - 167 sites corrupted.
Only way out was to get my hosting company to use a backup copy - they weren't happy about it because of the number of files they needed to replace.
But a few hours later everything was back to normal.
Then I made sure they changed my cpanel & main FTP passwords

One final tip, make sure you have at least an index.html or index.php file in every directory - or the hackers can see what is in the directory and it is a weak link for them to break into. If you use Firefox and Firezilla, just right click in the directory and select create a new file - then rename it index.html. It doesn't matter it is an empty file with 0 bytes - still stops people seeing what is there

Was this a root level hack on the server? If so you will need format the server and maybe ask for someone to secure the server so they can not crack it again.

I believe it was and I will send an email to dreamhost to see what they say.

 

In case of a root level hack it is always better to re-install the server

 

this only bunch of kiddies rooting the server.. nothing much to impress
