All the brains at Google would work for Yahoo, then Yahoo would have many of the services that Google does!

It will be easier to rank then. Becuase yahoo some what favors quantity in linkmas well. You can spam and win but not in the case of google. Google is the best search engine with it there are a very few chances to spam and win.

You are thinking small buddy. There was a time when people thought Netscape would rule the web world forever. There was a time when Yahoo search was a big thing. There was a time when we listened to CDs. There was a time when we actually rented DVDs from a store. And yes, there will be a "There was a time when Google ruled search" sometime in the future.

What would you do if you have no more chicken to eat? you rely on other food materials right? Similarly, you rely on other search engines or service providers. If you are smart enough and have a sugar daddy, you can create your own Google

Relying on search engines for a sustainable (long term) successful online business isn't to smart.

Creating and building your (Brand) is the key way to success online. If you build a brand around your business, then it will be able to stand on it's own two feet.
Every mega successful online expert and business have this in common.

Example: John Chow, the internet marketing guru, was banned from Google search engines.
However, his blog and business flourished during the entire time he wasn't receiving any traffic from Google. Even his traffic to his blog had increased.
His brand is to powerful and well known.

If Google collapses there will be a vacuum that will be filled by another search engine. The internet suffers also of 'horror vacui' ;-) SY
