    hi,
    I'm new to this forum ,please be gentle :)

    I'm noticed there more and more sites that offer to sell fan page likers.
    the rates are around few cents per like.
    Can someone tell how they do it? are the fans/"likers" real people or they're all fake profiles?

    thanks

    Some of them write special scripts.
    Some bring real people, cuz they have over 20k people in their friend list. And more than that they have several accounts with such amount of people, so they can easily drive real people if they have an authority at their audience.

    My question would be are these people who like your page people you actually want or are you just interested increasing the number of LIKE's you have. I would be more interested in quality traffic.

    Well when people see other people LIKE something THEY like it as well, people are very easy to follow others. It is like fashion one people have it nobody care but when it comes on 10 000 people than the rest will and want to have it.

    The LIKE button has a snow ball effect for sure. Fast growth generates more interest by FB and more visibility

    I'm totally opposed to buying/selling facebook "likes"; it's dishonest and unethical. In the end it's also counterproductive because the average surfer isn't stupid and can see through such a scam. A site owner who buys fans for his facebook fan page will lose all credibility in my eyes once I see through him. The basic building block for a vendor-client relationship is mutual trust and respect. I, and most other surfers, can neither trust nor respect a vendor who buys "likes" for his fan page.

    Really??? I am sorry but this is just flat out wrong. Either you have no idea how the process of buying "likes" works, or you also think things like TV commercials are scam. Buying "likes" will never be as good as running a facebook ad, but it is much less expensive. If you are correct that people do not trust companies that buy "likes" you might want to let those companies worth billions that do it every day know. Those same products that you use every day that you are a fan of because someone invited you to the page or you saw a facebook ad they put up.

    ListBuildingForNewbies,
    How could you possibly know the intellect level of the "average surfer"? The truth is most people like things they don't even understand. That's why this business works. If people were smarter we wouldn't have fast food, cigarettes and other scams like that. So please don't blame Vendors who buy fans and reduce their costs. Besides vendors can use both strategies:
    - buying fans for amount and snowball effect;
    - Facebook ads for targeted audience.
