Can i optimise my articles for profit?

I have an idea on using articles to promote affiliate products and also sorting links for mu websites.
But what i am not sure of is if i want to use it for affiliate product, can i post the same single articles over to like 100 articles directory?
Also if i want to do the same for the purpose of getting links, is it going to be regarded as natural links for Search Engine Ranking purpose?

Yes, you can post the same article to as many directories as you want (except buzzle which requires unique content and if you want to post to ezinearticles, you have to post the article their first and wait for it to get accepted before you post it to other directories).

Yes, it will be seen as natural backlinks.

On the affiliate products it is best to create an affiliate page to link to from your article and not a direct affiliate link.

For sure you can submit it to as many sites as you want and it should be treated as natural links. The good thing is if the article is really good, others will lift it from the articles directory and publish it onto their sites giving you more incoming links.

Don't just stop with article directories! You can do much more with an article than that. After you have submitted to all the article directories you can proceed to :

-Turn it into a .doc/.ppt and upload it to all the document sharing websites
-turn it into a .pdf and upload it to ebook sharing websites
-read it in to a mic, create a podcast, and upload distribute to all the podcast directories
-turn your .ppt version of it into a video and upload to all the video sharing websites
-slightly re-write it into a 3rd person narative, add some basic contact info and a subhead line and now you have press release, submit to all the press release sites
-convert to a .exe file (ebook), create a pad file, and distribute to all the software sharing directories
-create web 2.0 properties and use the articles to make posts
-find forums related to your niche and make posts with the articles or snippets of them (with link in sig of course)
-submit to blog networks like Free Traffic System, SEOLinkVine, LinkVana

do all of this for every article you create and then you will really be making your content work for everything that it is worth. Do not worry about spamming the search engines. This is called content syndication and re-purposing , and it is plays a big part in how the internet works (and many other forms of media for that matter).

Just try to do your best to create quality articles to start with. If you are create/buying crap $2 articles that are only 200-300 words, running them through a spinner, and mass distributing them, then yes, you are spamming the world with your crap. However, if you create well-researched and well-thought-out articles from the start and make sure that they are the kind that can actually help people, then your content will be welcomed.

Do it right and you will not only get visitors from article directories but you may get republished and syndicated, your doc site docs will get many views (these sites get a lot of traffic), your ebooks will get download, you will gain a following on the forums you post in, people will subscribe to your podcast, people will follow your youtube channel, etc. Do it wrong, and you will get banned from all these site and you will never see yourself move up in the SERPs.

If you are targeting the right kinds of keywords, just a few articles (done as i describe) can put your site on the maps. Just make sure you think it though, take your time, do it right. IMO this way is much better than buying massive amounts of articles and blasting them all over the internet.

I've learned from writing numerous articles for clients that not to underestimate the power of a well optimized article! I had to go back to basics and learn from my clients as well. Digital Point has so many useful tips, programs, etc. that you can't lose just surfing this site, listening to the pros and practice, practice, practice!

Yes you can post the same articles except to those sites who really want a unique content for that you to take it into consideration to spin your articles 100% and that way you can post to them. You will not regret spinning those articles it worth it I tell you. And its very regarded much!

A lot of article websites will not accept articles with links on them. I am not sure how you'll be able to mass-distribute articles when it is clear that you are trying to promote affiliate links. More than likely, your articles will get rejected from any decent sites that approve their content first.

Use Web 2.0 sites instead for an instant approval, You have to do it manually though.

Posting the same article repeatedly, will probably get the articles and the sites associated with those articles penalised
