    Yes, it's too long.

Domains should be one word and 7 characters long maximum.

Depends on what you want to do with it. Generally, yes .. it's a little bit too long.

I'd choose something shorter. The longer the domain name the more potential for typos when people are searching for it.

I wouldn't worry too much about it..

    take a look at Yarro's domain www.entrepreneurs-journey.com

thats 2 words, a hyphen and about 21 charactors all up which is about the same as yours.. and he's alexa rank is less then 7,000 and he's very successful

So while shorter can be seen as better, longer doesnt have to hold you back

I wouldn't worry about it at all actually... look at the domain, it's actually long but really catchy.

    "Discover the Discovery"

    DiscoverTheDiscovery.com
You generally won't spell those words incorrectly.

Well, it's kinda long, but not bad at all. If you want to develop it, could be fine even if a little longer.

I like it. It doesnt matter the length. What you want is SE traffic and once someone lands on it they will bookmark it. Rarely do you type in a website you go to all the time. I book mark all the ones I like. And its easy to spell. Its not like your using "1" for the "I" in dIscovery....
    Good Luck with it!

depending on what you plain to do with this domain. If you plain to use it for seo i think that it`s a little long. From my experience I could say that for some reason google likes and ranks better shorter domain names. Of course this is not a certain rule. It`s just my personal opinion. I`m involved in seo for years and from my experience this is what I could told you.

Anyway suposing you want to use this domain for traffic generation and making money with it. For example if the keyword "discover the discovery" gets a good number of searches every month (regarding google keyword tool) in this case you will rank highers in the search engines for that keyword.

Not at all, it's only 3 words long. If it was any longer than I would probably say yes.

I personally would not register it, don't like the way to is saying the same word twice and a long word at that.

I would agree with the above comment but not about the length
