    my site was pr 1 now its a pr2 so there must have been a pr update but its only on one of my websites????

    bizarre to say the least as anyone else seen a pr update at all?

    There is a page rank update today, one of my sites updated today and if you check twitter and search for "page rank" many other people are reporting there sites have been updated.

    I'm tempted to call this a minor update, but I actually have a suspicion we might be in the middle of the update process. A lot of my newly registered domains have popped, but a lot of them haven't.

    Google has a rough time period. The minor updates actually are coming fairly consistently every six weeks or so, lately. These typically cover new sites and pages, and some internal pages and subdomains.

    The major update is supposed to be every three months, but we haven't seen a full, internet-wide PR update since April. These cover the PR for the top-level domain page itself, and typically (though not always) are the highest PR number for the entire site.

    This minor update is a bit early, and doesn't seem to be as broad as the September minor update was. The last time this happened was in July, if I recall correctly. There was a minor update that missed a lot of new registrations, and then a second update followed a week later.

    This is entirely a guess, but . . . I like the odds on a full update coming at the end of October. There should at least be a second minor update that cleans up some of the missed stuff.
