    Hi all,

I just bought a VPS. But the OSs they provide for FREE are:

    Debian Lenny 5.0
    Gentoo
    CentOS 5.5
    Ubuntu 10.04

I never used any of these before. I use VPS only for download/ upload. Also take screenshots, info too.

So, to do what I need to do what is the easy OS I choose. I mean which is the EASIEST to to use?

    Please help.

My vote goes for Ubuntu. It has great support forums.

Ubuntu is great to get started with server administration, and the fact it's 10.04 LTS is a good too. If you start to get adventurous, then go ahead and try Debian (which Ubuntu is based off of, so it's similar), or CentOS, which is also a very decent server-quality distribution.

    Hey,

You mention screenshots. You'll have to get a VNC server installed and use a VNC application on your computer to access it. It'll give you a graphical interface to use for downloading and whatnot.

Easiest to install this on is Ubuntu, Debian or CentOS.

    Good luck!

CentOS is by far the choice in hosting arena. Let me know if you need any help.
