Meta keywords and title tags

If all the "good" keywords are used in the title tag do you use the same ones or different ones for the meta keywords?

 

Meta keywords are not used by google or other major search engines like google while indexing pages. But Title and title descriptions are still used. So make appropriate use of it.

How much should each title tag be different from another? What if I have similar topics on different pages. The content is different but the target keywords are the same or similar? Is it ok to keep repeating the same keywords in the title tags?

 

I think it didn't matter, meta keyword won't show in the serp.

 

Meta keywords does not help you in ranking.

But, it will get you penalty if you heavily spam them.

So, my best suggestion is to ignore completely your meta keywords and just concentrate on meta title and meta description.

 

it doesn't matter.. google ignore meta kws.. so i don't think you should gave more attention on that one..

Meta description should be based on the contents of the page. Keywords should be picked from Content of the page.

 

I put them in but only about 6 or 8 main ones for the page.

Though meta keywords tags are not a major factor for Google, but Yahoo and Bing still gives importance to the meta keywords,hence they should not be left off the page.

Google bot doesn't really read META KEYWORDS, thou you have to conduct keyword research for title and description, since this both are most important part of any website. Search engines like Google, Yahoo and Bing store TITLE and DESCRIPTION tags as snippets, hence whenever a user fire a particular keyword then your targeting keywords will get impression, higher the impression rate greater the probability of getting hits.
Hence, keyword research is important rather than KEYWORD META TAG.

 

If you dont use a meta description tag then the site snippet will be taken from the content...

 

Title tag and Description tag are important so, don't worry about meta keyword tag, it's not important.

 

Description should be relevent to your page content not according to keywords so evalute your content and find keywords included in keywords

 

I use the Title tag, Meta keywords, and Meta description. TITLE tag text is the first information about your website that the user sees. Meta tag is used to specify page descriptions

 

Thank you. I was hoping I would be the first to mention that Meta keywords help for Bing and Yahoo. So many people want only want to target Google and it's a little ridiculous.
