What causes such a large eCPM drop?

    Hi,

    Is there anything that causes such a large eCPM drop? For the past few weeks i've been making about $25 per day with an eCPM of £0.15-£0.20 per day, but today it's dropped down to £0.02... This has caused me to only gain about $3 today... Is there any direct cause? The content hasn't changed, are the ads lower quality?

    My CTR has decreased too, from 0.08 to 0.02, visitors havent increased though. I'm currently moving the ads for better placement.

    It could also be the amount of advertisers for your keywords has decreased. The more advertisers there are competing for the keywords, the more money you will earn per click.

    The eCPM doesn't "cause" your daily earnings to change. Your earnings are simply the amount you earned from clicks on your ads. This can vary wildly due to the bidding, competition, etc of the ads appearing. The eCPM simply shows what you would make per 1,000 impressions at the current earnings rate. If you have a lot of impressions and a low payout, you will have a lower eCPM.

    eCPM basically is based on the CPC and CTR
    eCPM drop due to either CTR or CPC drop

    A lot of people report that their adsense earning droped dramatically. It is not only you, believe me. But adsense is still a good way to make some extra money.
