How can I get top 3 ranking in Google?

One of my PR-3 site is in Google 1st page at #8 for my keyword.
I just want to get my site in Google top 3 position.
when I search for my keyword in Google, I get "3,120,000" results.
I'm doing link building from many days but not getting expected result.
Please share some ideas to get in top 3 position in Google in little time.
I will be very thankful to you.

 

The first of the two things that google really make your site rank high in google is through quality links and unique content. I would suggest article submission.

 

Getting back links are not enough, you should have to update your content timely as well as do some articles and forums for your site ranking..

No, Google DO NOT penalize duplicate content (only in the duplicate content is across the pages of your website). Google will just no give you any "positive point" for that content.

 

To get good rankings i think you need to create quality backlinks.Secondly unique contents are also kept on high importance.

 

Keep it clean, make sure you add something relevant every day, check you logs for the searches used when finding your site, build content around the feedback, encourage on topic feedback.

Promote your site everywhere thats related to your niche and if all else fails buy links.

 

Try to get backlinks from higher page rank websites than your's website in your specific niche. This may help you to reach your goal faster.

 

Once you're on page 1, I would avoid making changes to the page. At that point it is pretty much a link building exercise. Make sure that when you build links, that the links are placed on pages that are indexed and that the links are followed if you want them to count towards your rankings (and not JUST bring you traffic). If your page ranking #8 is an inner page, make sure you're building links directly to that inner page with its targeted keyword phrase (or a slight variation of the phrase) as the link text.

 

Getting a good reputation of your site to google will depend on your site contents...both Onpage optimization and offpage optimization should be done and only do white hat techniques. Even it you are creating lots of links everyday and those links are coming from not related and low pr sites,yes it can help but not much...Having a quality links from authority sites rocks very much. If you can see most of high pr sites only contains a few backlinks but those links are coming from high pr sites. You can look for these high pr sites by way of generating leads. Try to search some related topics on google and try to contact them and ask if you can add your links,article reviews, or product reviews.

 

I am also in this situation...I am just working on earning trust for the site by getting links from very relevant site as well as from good social media sites...just dont give up

 

Just Doing some Good Onpage and some Off page for that kw u will get top 3 ranking with in 2-3 Month sure.

 

Answer is very simple but you have to be very patient. Just study the backlinks of top 3 sites i.e. your top 3 competitors for the particular keyword (using allintitle:your keyword from Google ,first 3 results is your 3 top competitors) from Yahoo site explorer or SEOMOZ Open Site Explorer. Try to get links from them and write content or build application which is superior than the top 3 sites wait for some time and you will be among top three. I agree with everyone else that you need more quality backlinks. A way to make your current backlinks have better quality is to create backlinks to them.

Of course, I'm not suggesting you make backlinks to a directory but more creating backlinks to your backlinks where you have more control over like one of your blogs, pages of articles you have submitted, even profiles that contain dofollow links like your linkedin profile and so on or your apsense page.

Establish and foster your online relationships through blog commenting, forum posting and even article submission and guest blog posting. Soon, people will begin trusting you more and spread your name around more. This will in turn bring in more links for site and a higher ranking in Google and other search engines.
