Helping a prostitute with a blog

Lol this is not a joke. I work in a community outreach program in my city and have been working with and around this young girl who is a 20 yo prostitute that is trying to clean up her act and her drug habit.

She was telling me she has no one to talk to about her life and I suggested starting a sort of anonamous blog where she could get stuff off her shoulders and vent and maybe get some kind words and support at the same time.

My question is would google tolerate a blogspot blog on the topic of prostitution?
Im sure her daily life is a graphic and explicit story with sexual situations and drug use.
would google cancel her blog? or would they allow it but see it as some porn related content and never allow the site to place ads or be a none adult website?

It depends on how she writes her posts.

I don't think that it could be a problem. She is 20, so it is definitely Adult content. There are thousands of Adult sites. You can promote her blog there. BTW, can I PM you? :p

Why worry about google when you just want to get stuff off your shoulders?

She just want to express her feelings right? Why worry about "search engines" then?

Simple Answer - Get your own domain name and hosting account (I can help if needed) that way you don't have to put up with it. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion whether it's right or wrong. Let Freedom Ring!

the reason I figured she would use blogspot and not her own domain is because she doesnt have much money and isnt great with computers. Im not worried about seo or rankings only that google might shut the site down. also if she gets popular in the future maybe julie can make a few bucks from here ramblings and Im pretty sure google wouldnt allow ads on a site specifically talking about the life of a prostitute.

Any ways if anyones interested I will pass on the link (if she decides to do it).

    thanks for the input

Then go for free blog with wordpress?

There are 40+ free blog hosts so why stick with blogspot and worry if they allow adult content or not?

If she writes about her problems then it would most likely be a cool blog as it could help others. Sexual content IS allowed on google but maybe not blogspot, so maybe try wordpress?

If you don't post adult pics/vids then there shouldn't be a problem.
Or go for an other free blog host. For example thumblogger allows adult content (they are mainly hosting adult blogs)

I guess you haven't seen the tens of thousands of porn blogs on Blogspot.

I'm sure whatever she has to write about will be a couple of levels of above that, considering she's writing about her life.

Hm interesting article, I didn't know about that. I had a few adult blogs there, but everyone got deleted. Now I know that It was because of promoting sites :)

Isn't this exactly what blogging is originally about? A personal weblog?
I think it's an excellent idea, although I would also invest in a domain and cheap hosting...but I say that about everything. I don't believe in free blogs for serious bloggers.

Unless Google has changed the T.O.S., there are plenty of adult content blogs on blogger. I highly doubt that it would fall into the realm of pornography, it may not even be necessarily adult content depending on what she writes.

    Ummm! Wonders shall never end.

Well, I'd suggest she uses a paid domain and a free host, that way she'd rank on top and not be deleted and maybe people might get inspired by her articles. You could get free hosting @ Bravenet.com.

Try and make sure you or she glances through my series of post here at
    http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1961091

Wud definitely help sharpen your skills on the blog and help the direction.

I wish you guys all the best.

    Ciao!
