Help Regarding Signup of Paypal Using SBI international Gold Visa Card(India)

    I just bought a new Saving account in SBI , Enrolled myself for Gold International debit card Visa . Iam having Problem signing up for paypal.


    Prior to this account i was using PNB debit card with Master card logo and it was working well with PayPal a year back , But while verifying it incorrectly my card was banned , I did manage to Verify it in the end using my bank account details , but the card no longer was authorized so i requested for another PNB master card , and tried linking it with papal. While linking i received following the error message " his credit card has been refused by the bank that issued your credit card. For details on why your card was refused, please contact your credit card issuer's Customer Service department. Or, you may want to try adding a different credit card.

    Then I read about SBI GOLD INTL VISA /MAster cards , I took the gamble and got one. Now iam trying to link my New SBI GOLD VISA Card on this Paypal account( which is verified by the bank account details of my PNB ACCOUNT). But Alas! Again i fail registering my card with Paypal. I Received this card around a week back.

    My queries are the following :

    1> In order to get my new card activated on paypal , do i have to link my bank account details again for this new card?

    2> Since my Card is already verified by the previous (PNB account) card details , am i supposed to re verify the card which is already verified for my new card to link in paypal

    Please give ur Suggestions

    Don't waste time in Debit cards. If you want to verify it then use a Credit Card.
    As Debit cards don't work with Paypal. :)

    Yep. I currently use the SBI gold card.
    I'd suggest you take the same.
    Has a yearly fee of around Rs. 300, and you'll receive it after a week. If you have an old account with good standing you shall get it without any hassles else you'll have to make a FD.

    its just waste of time. paypal will work only with credit card.

    ^ yeah should be credit card as debit cards dont have any fee.

    It's a credit card. And yes, i've verified my account with it.

    I doubt there is any Gold Debit card issued by SBI anyways.
