Is it possible to attract 1000 users in 10 days to a free online dating website?

We’ve just launched our brand new free online dating website. Next comes the hard part – getting the users.

Is it even possible to attract 1000 users in 10 days to a free online dating website? Does anyone have any original ideas or suggestions?

 

receiving 10k users could pose as a problem without the right marketing strategy. It is possible, but not exactly reachable in some cases. I would personally suggest reaching up to that goal, do not make such a large milestone but try to do something like 100 in 1 week, 1k, 2k, etc. until you reach 10k. It is suggested this way as your users will most likely stay and the members may not be just spam.

 

It's possible with persistence and a lot of hard work

 

Dating is huge why don't you try a mobile marketing campaign which would tie in perfectly to how people use their mobile phones. Have you mobile optimized your site? I think it is easily possible to attract 1000 users in a very short space of time.

Sure, I do fine. There was a little confusion in the thread or I misunderstood. I think you said 1K in ten days, not 10K. But both are reachable. Recommend doing a PR. I use prweb.

 

That's definitely possible...that's only 100 visitors per day, people get thousands of visitors per day. Getting 1000 visitors in 10 days will require either money for advertising, or an effort to get traffic via SEO or both!

If you think it's worth it to advertise for your website you can do some PPC advertising, or like other people suggested getting into the mobile advertisements (I've never had any experience with that). You can also start getting traffic from google. You need to either start article marketing or getting into blogging.

 

Take your campaign offline, promote the site at local colleges and universities with flyers, brochures, handouts..

 

Interesting spin on the dating niche. Dating is super competitive so its a tough sell. Maybe a strong PPC campaign could do it but I have my doubts.

You need ads on related site with daily 20 ECPM + You need integrate an application with your site to send invitation from google, yahoo, hotmail contact list.

You could target your niche with 100 K visitors of bought traffic to boost your site. Some of the visitors will get interested in the site and will opt in or do a membership on trial.

Why are you doing another Dating Website? What makes your dating website better than plentyoffish.com? There are thousands of websites out there for dating!

In order to get traffic you need 4 main components - Adwords,SEO,Social Media and PR

If you have a huge budget for PPC, than you can start paying for traffic. Else, start planning your SEO strategy and think social, FB + Twitter go well with dating niches from my experience

 

There are many ways to get that amount of visitors, not just to a dating site but to blogs and websites too
