Yes, really a little n00b, but i have come apart to backlinks while learning SEO.
So could you guys tell me about backlinks.

Do they mean that i add your sites link to mine and google crawls my site and even get's your site.

So is that the ans

Good question as it is so important to know about backlinks!

Basically it is a link from another site BACK to your site.

For example I write a blog post about travel and reference and link to expedia.com
that is a backlink for them.
