I have a blog on wordpress, which is growing and getting 10k+ visitors a day.

I want to convert the site to php. Is it easy and best thing to do.

Wordpress is already written in PHP.

Try some caching plugin to speed the things up.

    Hi,

Wordpress allows you to manage your blog whereas PHP is a scripting language which is used to code to perform certain actions by the user.
    Thanks

Wordpress is codded in PHP itself. Better if you tell what do you want to do with your Wordpress blog so that you wanted to convert in PHP(as you said).

do you mean you want to change your site so that it is not WordPress-driven, but a static site with php pages?
it is doable, however, a lot of work depending on the size of your site, and your existing WordPress plugins won't work, and if you do want them to work without using WordPress, you are looking at a lot of coding.

Not so hard, if you already have the database you just simply create a basic CMS that read wordpress database and show it on screen. Why doing something like this? Wordpress is nice, really but sometimes (and for some hosts) it's really heavy especially if you have a lot of visitors.

    Hi.

Why still convert wordpress to php since it is already getting that much traffic? Why not rather focus on improving the site by getting more traffic?
