So Google Indexed my Blog after three days, now what?

I checked and apparently my three posts have been indexed in Google. Should I wait until I have about ten posts to start writing articles for backlinks or start now?

I did bookmarked a couple or my posts to social sites like digg and mixx, I am also linking my posts to my facebook account, do those count as backlinks or not?

I am in no hurry, my goal is one to two years to be able to have visibility on the web, I just want steady growth.

Then you have to keep posting original contents so that Google will keep visiting your website.

Make sure you keep posting on your blog. Only ever use original unique content that is keyword enriched. You can write an article at any time and link it to your blog. Ezine will take time to approve any article you submit to them and if it is not good content or the very similar to another article it will not be accepted. When you write an article make sure that you fill in the bio at the end. Social bookmarking sites are good and when you have enough posts and time on this forum include your blog in your signature block.

Now keep on inviting the Google spider to your blog regularly with new quality content every time, and being a blog the latest posts automatically placed on first page and thus indexed easily.

How would you feel if you were to stumble on a blog that only has 3 posts on it?

Yep, continue adding good content regularly while you create backlinks. Using this rule, I've managed to score in 3 months with my forum as #1,#2 and #10 respectively for three of my top five keywords.

Nice instructions here. But won't immediate backlinking affect a new site?

No. There is absolutely nothing wrong with building links from the start. There is no rule that search engines enforce that say you have to have XX pages and wait Y months beofre building backlinks.

I would suggest - 2 months building content at least - then start links slowly unless its an aged domain

You can start for new posts and back links. Write original content and build quality back links. Social media promotion is good for promotion, to increase traffic but mostly social media sites provide nofollow back links, which are not counted as back links

It hasn't for me... provided you're careful. Do not submit 1000 backlinks immediately, but build them up gradually, say, in a geometric progression, as if more and more users were finding the site. For example, get initially 5 backlinks per day, after a couple of days start getting 10, two or three days later you go with 20... you get the idea. This looks like "natural" growth... you have more links, hence more users, hence even more links.

BUT: The fresh quality content is even more important than the backlinks!

Simply increase the daily number of posts gradually. Start for example with ten/day, after a few days increase it to 15, then 20... after a couple of months it should be Ok to make a few hundred posts. After 6 months 1000 posts/links should be no problem at all.

The only thing that you should remember is that the number of posts/links you create should be more or less proportional to the number of links that you already have, except in the beginning, where you could have a few more. A few, not 1000 times more! If you have 5 links, and you suddenly add 1000 links, the SEs will suspect. If you add 5, or 10, then that should not be a problem. So try to make it so that it looks like "natural" growth.

A rule of thumb I use (not scientific evidence, but it has worked for me) is initially post some 5-10 posts/day until I have around 100 links. Then for a while I go for a max. of 50% of the links I already have. As soon as I reach 500 posts/links, I set my max link building/day to 30% of the existing links. After 1000 links, I reduce again my link building to a maximum of 20% of new links/day. That would be 200 links/day if you have already 1000 links. At 5000 links, I get in cruise mode & do around 10%... because by that time I expect others linking to me without additional effort on my side!

You just need to update your blog on regular basis with unique contents and try to bookmark it in some popular social bookmarking sites.

Submit site to DMOZ/ODP, industry related directories (no need to do mass/bulk), and try to get yourself & blog linked to from other industry-related sites. How can you do that? Write content for them instead of for your site. So many people will do this for free content. Lots of bloggers and webmasters are happy to put up your link as long as you alleviate them from the task of writing a post :)
