wp 3.0 multisite mode issue

    When the Wp multisite is enabled, the root blog seems to be running only under the /blog/ .

    for example i have installed wp 3.0 on egdomain.com and enabled multisite.

    now when i write a blog post titled “hello world” its goin to be published only under “egdomain.com/blog/hello-world/”

    Is there a way to get around this? and get the post to be published at “egdomain.com/news/hello-world/” ?
