Someone is clicking my ads way too much

Discussion in 'AdSense' started by ryanrob, Oct 2, 2010.

Over the past week clicks on my adsense ads have went up around 1000%, I've taken my domain off the allowed sites list for now. I don't know if it's a malicious person or a bot that's clicking them.

Is there anything I can do about this? I'm pretty much a newbie and would appreciate any advice thanks.

Have you checked your logs / stats for a corresponding increase in traffic?

It's probably your family members or friends trying to help you earn some money. I think you should contact Adsense if you can, otherwise I don't see any reason why you should worry.

That can be one of the possibilities, if your blog site is new and have very low traffic.

Well, either way, you should use statcounter to found out who exactly has been clocking your ads. It tells you the exit links and the ip that clicked it so in the event something happens, you have logs of who was clicking and can file an appeal.

Block the ip and report to adsense.
At the same time, remove your ads for few day if possible

SeedyHosts has it right, check your exit link activity, and see if you can find a pattern.

Exit link and ip addresses are the key and like stated above ban them if you can identify them....

Yeah remove the ads or block the IP thru htaccess so you can get your impressions up and your CTR down a bit before you do end up getting screwed.

You just need to remove the ads first and then report it to Adsense team.
