Friend, Your domain age is only 2 month. friend have patient for some time. I suggest you that continue seo working at site. And build backlink for site.

 

The links give you PR. But what anchor text have you used for those links? If the anchor text does not contain your keywords, you'll never score for those.

Similarly, if you've used different anchor texts on your links, then you might not have sufficient "juice" on the individual keywords to score well on the search engines, and if you're beyond page 2 in the results, you might as well be invisible. And of course get no traffic at all.

I suggest you try out to find out at which page you are currently in Google. (Don't bother beyond page 100). Then try to get at least to the first page, hopefully as #1.

Could have been penalised because one of the backlinks it was on has been penalised, or the niche is extremely competitive

 

In simple words add your keywords in the body of your links. Dont just put the name of your site in them!!!
And two months for a new site is nothing. SEO needs time lots of months and traffic will come if you choose the write keywords as said above!!!

 

First you need to get your site indexed. Here is a site that will explain the best way to do that.
google "self promotion" and it should be your first site.
This helped me tremendously when I started my first site.

If you are talking about some serious traffic from google, then even 3000 quality backlinks are not enough. Just look at the competition out there.

 

totally agreed, if you want some high traffic from google, you'll need to work a lot more harder than this.

And give yourself three months time to see the result

For the bing and yahoo, they are abit slower compare to google, give them some time

 

Man you have to wait. Its only 2 months. What more do you expect. Wait for at least 6 months before you get all impatient. And you won't get traffic from backlinks. Try many other measures to improve your SERP including link building.
