It's probably safe to assume that the "site:" query is part of that, he mentioned specifically "off the beaten path", which that one would be. Which would explain some of the flaws, ah well :)

I think that statement is smoke and mirrors, Min. They screwed up something with an export on August 24th, and they want to make sure they had it right before exporting it fully. The September 29th PR export seems to have buried the results from that update. There are, however, 3 sets of backlinks out there:
    http://72.14.203.133/ - July 13th
    http://216.239.51.104/ - August 24th
    http://66.102.11.100/ - September 29th

Remind you of another update?

This gives me the maximum number of links indexed by google where as other datacenters give me almost quarter of what this one gives. Pretty weird!!!

The site: command being broken and in flux as they fix it is old news.

Yes, but it fully reflects my experience with traffic. If Site: command for the specific site shows substantial decrease, also the site traffic decreases the same way (not the very same numbers or percetages, but still it reflects it absolutely)

That's not what matt said in his video. I think your research is flawed. But hey, if it makes you feel better, far be it for me to burst your bubble.

That's a pretty funny way to use absolutely after saying the numbers don't match. hehe

    Plutonian research perhaps?

Okay, Noppid, it reflects it more or less.
Your Business Mnagement is fully in supplemental results now, not a one page out. If you check your logs does it make any difference in trafic (from SEs) compared to 25th of Septemeber and then with this May?

I don't think that site was developed in may or had any backlinks then.

Sorry, in that case it was irrelevant. But could you check with all of your sites?
I know from my experience having only (or lots of) supplemental results for site:www.yoursite.com, also means to have lots of supplemental results from within your domain for specific search phrase. They will not be shown within first couple of SERPs if there are some relevant main index results and they won´t bring you traffic.
Pls. check and let me know...

As for riderinfo, do not include this traffic, onl ycheck your natural SE based traffic.
It seems to be well established forum, such sites do not have majority of traffic from SEs.

    Thanks

I love the way he says "I believe" like he doesn't know :)

"I believe a new set of updates is 'going out'". I bet you do. You hit submit, after all.
