Yahoo answers is my favorite one. Its a good free source for driving traffic.

 

facebook, pr sites, directories, social networks and all that... the thing is you have to place your site where people that want to hear about what you are doing are hanging out on the web...

find your target audience and give them what they want, the way they want it!

To add...when come to SEO technique, skill on how to create a website which has meaningful content which offers useful products and services. then the website contains the main keywords in the starting or opening lines. Try to pick the right keywords through research which will you to attract customers. Enter the keywords in correct fields and references on your website with help of Meta tags.

 

Yahoo answers can send a significant amount of traffic and those backlinks, although no-follow for G....are great for Bing and Yahoo

 

I always get people to opt-in to my list by giving away a free guide. I think that is the best way to build up a list. Thanks for sharing the 101 ways to get more traffic.

 

Very informative. I have started using some of the tips and can see the results right after an hour. I have a question why didn't you mentioned about youtube marketing?

 

Here are my top 3 (FREE) traffic methods...
1) Article marketing: use these directories (they are the best for traffic)...

TheFreeLibrary.com
IdeaMarketers.com
ArticleCity.com
Knol.google.com/k

2) Site commenting (can be blogs, yahoo answers and any site that gets a lot of traffic that you can get back to your site). Comment on 10 blogs per day.

3) Forum commenting...commenting on high traffic blogs, look for the ones that get 10 comments per post per day. Do 5 posts on 5 forums per day.

I just stumbled on this thread and it's got some interesting information. It's
amazing how some things have stayed the same since the thread started.

For instance article marketing will never die and now video marketing and
Facebook are dominating.
