    Hello crudeexperts,

First things first: you can use your analytics program to track your site’s traffic, conversion rate, visitor stats, and other important data. Find pages with high bounce rates. Look closely at your conversion funnel and see if there is a particular point where visitors are leaving instead of moving forward. See if there are elements you can change (colors, buttons, placement, or copy writing) that you think would improve the page, make it easier or more relevant for your visitors. Pick your worst page and give it a few tweaks.

Next begin a testing program, to see what your visitors think. At it’s simplest form, a visitor is shown either the original page or your newly designed page. Conversions on both pages are measured. Once the results are considered to be statistically significant, the winning page is declared.

Google Analytics is a great tool to lead your website to success. I recommend you read this blog post for more ideas how to make the most of it's tools http://bit.ly/b95Ytw

    Best of luck!

    Kindly,

    Shelby

Optimizing your website for conversion isn't expensive. Leaving money on the table is.

I use Google Analytics and find it very informative. Is it considered the best free traffic tracker available?

Also, if advertisers are interested in purchasing spots on my site, would I give them Google Analytic stats or server stats?

Google Analytics is super easy to install. Google "Google Analytics" and it will take you to the service. Click "Access Analytics" and you will be brought to a page where you can add domains. Follow the steps to add your domain (very short and simple) and get the javascript code. Once you have the javascript code, just copy/paste it onto every page on your website that you want to track. After a few clicks come in you can see all the statistics of visitors and where they come from.

    Hope this helps.
