TMZ Hosting is down

TMZHosting is down and the homepage shows a message of things being worked upon - has been so for a day or two now.

Anyone has any other message / updates about it ?

I think the admin is still busy in restoring the server or their main website. Anyway.. it seems that the restoring process is completed. I am now able to access cpanel now. But the sites still displaying the message 'by iskorpitx'.

An update posted on tmzhosting.com that 'We are currently restoring our main website. Our support system will be online soon, so we can get things rolling.'

 

I don't see this update on their site. Anyways, there has been no movement for my sites. Hoping it gets sorted out by end of day...

 

After four days of my sites down and no information from TMZ I started to move the sites to another host.
These people are not serious. Stay away from TMZ.

 

The tmzhosting home page is loading at times. So there is some kind of movement. Looks like they are working on it.... but the time being taken is too long

Surely, should have been handled better.

 

It's day 5 and getting frustrating.

Unable to login into client area and sites are also not loading up.

Daniel also isn't responding to PMs.

Has anyone been able to get their sites online ?

 

Some of my sites are loading which are old. My new sites and my client sites which were recently signed up are down. Unable to login into cpanel also.

But the back-up is 3 months old !!! Back up of around 15th July. Not enjoying this.

 

After 6 days with my sites inacessible, I still have no support response... my passwords don't work and it's impossible to reset them and access CPanel. My 13 sites are offline... I'm losing at least $200/day with ads/paid subscriptions .. my Alexa was 112.881 and now is 204.004.

This is a disrespect with all clients. I supposed TMZ Hosting was hacked... I moved to another host but I need my databases, images, threads (forums), etc UPDATED... About 35.000 members are asking me what's wrong and I don't know what to say!

 

TMZ Hosting was hacked by Iskorpitx? The turkish hacker that invades GoDaddy months ago? That's bad...

 

damn, if it was hacked then all of our personal info could've been compromised.

 

doing a quick search on Google, its seems like it was an internet wide attack and tmzhosting wasn't specifically targeted. If that's the case, you can't really fault them. There's a security flaw with in some operating systems in cPanel...or at least that's what I assume based on the random info I gathered.

 

Sites have been restored. Updated backups.

All is well if it ends well.

Not a very pleasant experience all through but am happy to see that they did restore eventually instead of some of the service providers whom I have seen running away.

Same for me. Still a few files only, but happy to see they are from 27 september. Good to hear some of us are restored fine.

 

One of mine is back up. There's still one down though.

Sorry I did not respond to anyone's PM's. We have been working around the clock restoring websites and getting everything sorted out. As said above, we were not specifically targeted when this happened. Many other "big" websites were hacked. Because of this we have taken huge security measures so this does not happen again. Most of our clients are online, but if your website is still not working please get in touch with us.

The sites are finally restored. However, there is some data loss like file that I have uploaded and wordpress site that I have develop recently. Then, I request to restore the latest backup which is hacked. The staff told me to fix the index file then it should be able to work again. But, I tried it and it is still the same.

I hope that there will be a proper tutorial to be taught to fix the problem. There is one more thing that Fantastico is not available in Cpanel when I log in. The answer from the support staff is very general and didn't straight to the point until I asked for the second time. So many of my time is wasted and all my sites are down (not working properly) for one week++.

I am wondering the "LIVE" support online before, I tried many different time and still OFFLINE.I understand that the moment I tried is not office hour, but I have tried so so so many different time even midnight in my country and it is still not ONLINE. I think I deserved a good explanation from you since I have been using TMZhosting for 2 years ++ and renewed for another 2 years.

 

I can understand the server is being hacked, but I am not really happy with the supports!
