    I was wondering if someone can help me prevent a link from showing up when someone searches for my company.

    Can this even be done?

    If you point me in the right direction on how to do this I can learn to do it or I'm willing to pay someone to do it too.

    Yes this is very easy using htaccess, google webmaster tools, and/or robots.txt. Or...

    you can also include the following meta tag:

    <meta name="robots" content="noindex" />

    which will tell all "good" spiders to not index this page =]

    Just make sure that meta tag only goes on the page you want deleted or it's by by website. Just making sure that's understood. :)

    i'm thinking that when someone searches for your company, there is a search result pointing to a link showing up which you dont want your visitors to see. if thats the case, then you are looking at reputation management which can be a bit time consuming and could be costly at the same time. no one can actually make a link vanish but it is possible to create lot more positive links to push down the link that you dont want to see. if this is your situation and you need more info, shoot me a PM and i can help you out with that

    No what I ment is preventing a link from showing up on google that is not apart of my site. Like its a link from someone elses website.

    That will require much more work since you'll have to push up other pages to knock down that specific one...

    yup dimon4ever is right, you'll need to knock them out of the search results using lots of SEO on your side
